Synopsis:
The wooded outskirts of Spokane, Washington, are mundane at best. However, concealed within the sleepy confines of the town’s evergreen trees lurk creatures who covet human lives, all of whom accompany a curse that has threatened a young man’s family for over sixty years. The bungkaka, a curiously ancient instrument, must be played each night in order to keep those close to him alive. But what happens when one night, the bungkaka is neglected?

Whaddya gonna do this weekend? Join FASA@ODU at their culture show, duh. This year, the show is entitled, “Balete Drive: the Spirit of the Philippines,” where three students will tell the tale of one of the Philippines’ most well-known superstitions—with a special twist.
